2. Overview

This privacy notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit our website or contact us by email or telephone. You can reach us at kontakt@mabra-engineering.de.

We do not embed our own analytics or marketing services, externally loaded fonts, maps, social media feeds or video platforms. The following sections describe the technical delivery of the website and the traffic statistics provided by the hosting provider.

3. Website hosting and recipients

The website is provided through OpenAI Sites. It uses Cloudflare infrastructure for website delivery, server-side processing and storage of editorial website content. united-domains provides domain management and email services; it does not host this website.

Website delivery involves processing your IP address and the request information transmitted for the HTTP connection. This is necessary to transmit the website and operate it securely. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of our online services.

The ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum applies to personal data collected through the website. As an operator based in Germany, our contracting entity is OpenAI Ireland Ltd, 1st Floor, The Liffey Trust Centre, 117–126 Sheriff Street Upper, Dublin 1, D01 YC43, Ireland. OpenAI acts as a processor for the data referred to as “Hosted Data”; we remain responsible for our processing. Under its terms, the agreement is incorporated through use of the service to provide a website that collects personal data.

OpenAI lists Cloudflare, Ltd. as a subprocessor for website delivery and hosting. Its list also specifically addresses ChatGPT Sites for Plus and Pro users. For Cloudflare, it specifies processing in the data center closest to the end user. This does not guarantee that all website and database data is processed exclusively in the EU.

Processing outside the European Economic Area

Exclusive processing within the EU is not guaranteed for website hosting. For transfers from the EEA to affiliates or third parties outside the EEA or Switzerland, the Sites Data Processing Addendum provides for Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision of the European Commission. You can request information about the agreed safeguards using our contact details.

The Sites DPA identifies log data, usage data, device information, and data collected through cookies or similar technologies as possible categories of usage-related data. The subprocessor list also includes processing locations outside the EEA, including the United States. It does not provide a complete country-by-country mapping of each processing activity for this website.

Pending confirmation: the scope and retention of access, error, and security logs; the countries applicable to specific processing activities; and backup retention and deletion. The contract term in the Sites DPA does not establish a retention period for individual logs or backups. We are awaiting the provider’s response.

4. Browser storage, platform statistics, and encryption

Our public website code does not set cookies or save visitor inputs in Local Storage or Session Storage. Your language choice is reflected in the page URL. This statement applies to our own code; it does not mean the hosting platform cannot use cookies or similar technologies.

OpenAI’s documentation states that ChatGPT Sites automatically records traffic and provides site owners with unique-visitor and page-view statistics over time. We have not added a separate analytics service for this purpose.

The website connection uses HTTPS/TLS. Website transport encryption does not mean email messages are end-to-end encrypted.

Pending review: platform cookies and other browser storage access for signed-out visitors, plus the data used, purposes, retention, and legal basis of platform statistics. Any consent requirement under section 25 TDDDG and the GDPR must be assessed against the actual visitor experience; the private preview alone is not sufficient.

5. Contact by email and phone

The email link opens your email application so you can write to kontakt@mabra-engineering.de. Your message is transmitted to us only when you send it yourself; clicking the link does not send a message automatically. Please provide only the information needed to handle your inquiry.

When you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details and the information provided to handle your inquiry. Emails also involve technical transmission data. We use united-domains for our business domain mailboxes.

The provider is united-domains GmbH. We have concluded a data processing agreement with this provider. It covers in particular email services and related technical support. The agreement provides for processing exclusively within the European Union for the processing covered by it. This statement relates to this provider, not to all other recipients of an email or to website hosting.

The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for necessary contractual or pre-contractual communication and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other inquiries. Our legitimate interest is handling those inquiries. Retention required by law is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

6. Brake bias calculator

Calculations run in your browser on your device. Our calculator does not send your vehicle parameters, brake parameters, or results to our server and does not save them persistently in your browser. Loading the calculator involves the technical connection data described in the hosting section.

7. Retention and access to contact information

We retain inquiries and related communication for as long as needed to handle them and any necessary follow-up questions. When that purpose no longer applies, we delete the data unless a statutory retention obligation or another lawful reason for retention applies. Contractual and accounting documents may be subject to statutory retention periods. Further retention necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Within our business, access is limited to people who need the information to handle the inquiry. Technical service providers may process data as part of their services. Other disclosures only occur where there is a legal basis, such as a statutory obligation. The services involved are identified in the relevant sections.

8. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have the right to access your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20).

Right to object: Where we process your data under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests, rights and freedoms, or processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving particular grounds; the data will then no longer be processed for that purpose.

You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the place of your habitual residence, workplace or alleged infringement. 9. Automated decisions

We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR in the website operation and inquiry handling described here.
